Among the Sleep horror game transforms you into a 2 year old

 

Indie horror game Among the Sleep looks like Amnesia in a suburban modern day setting, with the point of view of a little toddler.  I don’t honestly know if I’d be super frightened by paranormal activity if I only had the not-yet-fully-developed mind of a two year-old, but I guess the point is that I’m not actually a two year old, but playing in the body of one.  Which just makes me think they built a game world as per normal and lowered the video cam to toddler height.

But meh, I could be wrong.

Far Cry 3 teaser trailer with annoying bad guy voice

 

I really honestly can’t say I’m all that excited by the new Far Cry 3 from what I’m seeing in the trailers.  Hallucinatory drugs, weird cel-shaded graphics, and a seriously annoying villain who is trying to do his best impression of insane with the constant inane chatter.  It better be proper open-world open, and not just “fake” open-world hemmed in by a strictly linear narrative.  In fact, Far Cry 3 really looks like it is trying to do its best impression of Uncharted or something.

I absolutely adored Far Cry 2 however, and I wrote about it lovingly on my old blog.  In fact, I loved the game so much I had a bit of a retrospective which included some ideas that I thought Ubisoft could explore for their next outing, which I see fit for bringing back here in light of the upcoming game’s release.  In fact, from what I’m seeing from the trailers, the whole tribal villagers thing might actually be one of my predictions coming true.

Notes to Help You Keep Track of Game of Thrones – Blackwater

Ladies and Gentlemen, today marks the most epic hour of TV this year. If you complained about not seeing enough CG direwolves or baby dragons, look to this episode (you get to know why). If you were almost at wit’s end hoping when things would finally be shocking and twisting like in the first season, look to this episode. If you wanted an actual bloody, medieval, Lord of the Rings-style battle sequence, look to this episode. If there’s anything you should watch this week at all in TV Land, it’s THIS EPISODE.

Do you know that TV series that started as a comic book about a sheriff in a cowboy hat who shoots lots of zombies?  Now it’s a video game in which you play a totally made-up new character in the same universe as the sheriff in the cowboy hat, and who also has to fight zombies.  Will you meet the sheriff dude?  Will you discover why you are a cel-shaded character?  Will you kill zombies?
